The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for enhancing the communication outreach to improve and increase the facilitation and sharing of Town information to all community stakeholders; and fostering awareness of Town programs and services available to residents, businesses and visitors to the Town of Bladensburg.
The mission of the Marketing Division is to enhance and improve the communication outreach to all community stakeholders; create and foster awareness of Town programs and services; and to position the Town of Bladensburg as a competitive community in the Greater Washington Metro area.
To foster and facilitate the sharing of information to all community stakeholders.
To serve as a liaison between the media and the Town of Bladensburg.
To create a strong brand awareness of the Town.
To position the community as a competitive destination for future economic/redevelopment opportunities in the Town of Bladensburg.
Responsibilities of the Marketing Division
The Marketing Coordinator oversees the production and development of the:
Quarterly Town Newsletter
Weekly E-mail Newsletter ‘Town of Bladensburg Weekly Updates’ to keep residents informed of Town meetings, Mayor and Council Work Sessions, Announcements, Events, Job Opportunities, Alerts & other Newsworthy items
Serves as the producer and editor of a variety of print/digital promotional material
Administering and Managing the Town website
Promoting the Town through the use of social media platforms
