National Night Out
National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.
Millions of neighbors take part in National Night Out across thousands of communities from all fifty states, U.S. territories and military bases worldwide on the first Tuesday in August. Neighborhoods host block parties, festivals, parades, cookouts and various other community events with safety demonstrations, seminars, youth events, visits from emergency personnel, exhibits and much, much more.
21st Annual Port Towns Day
Port Town’s Day is an Annual festival where the Towns of Bladensburg, Colmar Manor, Cottage City and Edmonston come together to celebrate their efforts to create safe and sustainable communities. Festival attendees will enjoy a day of entertainment, craft vendors, international food choices, children’s activities and much, much more.
Citizen's Police Academy
This year we held our inaugural Citizens Police Academy. Participants of all ages learned about police tactics, use of force, crime scene processing and more. The class also gave our officers an opportunity to learn more about the community’s concerns regarding police tactics.

Join us every Saturday at the Port Towns Farmers Mercado to swap and share FREE lightly used clothing, toys, home and garden goods. Through our partnership with MyGrowConnect.org and SWAPDC, we are bringing the collective power of connected communities to our weekly farmers market! ECO City and other local farmers will be selling fresh locally grown seasonal produce and we’ll have free cooking demos, music and activities on site.
